Winter is Coming - Tag from MyglitteryObession

 Hello World!
Kristy tagged me to do this tag, so here it is! These are some winter-related questions.

1. Is winter your Favourite season?
No, in fact it is probably my least favorite season by far. It's cold, and wet, and icy. Not to sound like a Grinch, but the other seasons have the benefit of not having those things.

2. Favourite winter sport?
To watch, it would have to be hockey, being Canadian and all, but to play would have to be skating, not that I do it often, but it is fun once in a while.

3. Favourite Winter beverage?

Hot Chocolate! I like Chai lattes, but that is more of a fall-winter thing, I tend to drink a lot more hot chocolate in the winter than other seasons.

4. New Year's or Christmas? (Or another Winter Holiday)
Christmas. New years is fun, but Christmas is better.

5. Best Christmas present as a kid?
Uhm. I have had a lot of great christmas presents. I think one of my favorites was my first coach purse that my dad bought me in black leather. It is still one of my go-tos. I wasn't a kid-kid more like 20, so I guess that doesn't really count. I guess as a little kid I enjoyed my dollhouse that Grandma and Grandpa made for me, but I do not remember actually receiving it, so probably a doll/barbie because I loved those as a kid, but I do not remember it!

6. Playing in the snow, or inside with tea and a book?
I like I would like playing in the snow if it were more abstract, like sleigh-riding, but actual snow is cold, and hard, and not that nice. Even snowball fights as a kid could be painful! And I never made a snow-house because I did not want it to cave in and kill me. Tea & reading. It's what I do.

7. Favourite Christmas movie?
I was thinking to myself that I should watch more Christmas movies this year, but my favorite Christmas movie is Charlie Brown's Christmas. It is a bit more religious that I am, but it is also has scenes that would never pass in a current movie (such as when all of Charlie Brown's friends point and laugh at him, but are not the "bad guys"). I also love The Grinch.

8. Worst thing about winter?
Cold. Wet. Icy. Never-ending. The days get dark SO quickly. It is hard to stay warm. Your clothes can get wet earlier in the day, and they take FOREVER to dry. Slippery. Everything is slow to walk to- due to the ice. Ugh.

9. Best winter-related scent?
Candy-cane or Christmas trees!

10. Favourite part of Winter fashion?
Scarfs! I have a lot! I just wore my les mis one, so I am already on the scarf train this year.

11. Turkey or Ham?
I only like ham cold, fun fact, so turkey!

12. Do you get dressed up for Christmas, or PJs all day?
We do PJs until like 4 when the extended family comes over, so we have to look a bit more put together, so we get dressed up.

13. Crank the heat or layer up your clothes?
Both! Blankets in every room! Woo!

14. When do you think it is acceptable to start decorating for Christmas?
The day after Remembrance Day. We shouldn't forget Remembrance Day in our rush to start Christmas stuff, I mean, it is an important holiday, so we shouldn't ignore it. Plus, it is November 11th, that still gives a lot of time for Christmasy stuff.

15. Tree- toppers: star or angel?
I like angels because I like to pick out the angels that have kind faces. I think if I got a tree, though, I would try out a star for something different, so I am not too attached.

Hope you are having a great day!

Palette questions from Reddit.

On the subreddit, muacjdiscussion, someone asked questions about the palettes people have. I decided to answer those questions here!

What was your first (or first few) palettes? Do you still use them?
My first few palettes were the Naked 2, the Glinda Palette, and the Ariel palette. The second two were gifts from my awesome SO, who apparently started me down this path! I use the Naked2 once in a while; I love it for its cooler colours. I don't use the other two as often, but I really like them. I love the Glinda palette, and I have used it for a colour in a  quick-easy daytime look. The Ariel palette I don't use as often most likely because it has a lot of lighter greens, and I can find those a bit harder to make I look I love with them, but I really do love that palette. Also, I have the Ariel mirror, which I use pretty regularly <3!

What are your most recent palette purchases?
The last palette I received as a surprise present from my SO and it was the Peach Palette that is currently (maybe forever) not available in Canada (although, you can buy it from Too Faced website, if you are into that kind of thing). The last palette I bought myself was the Gwen Blush palette from Urban Decay, or if we are only looking at eye palettes, then the Tarte Tartlette Tease palette.

Which palettes do you use most often?
I use the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette the most.

Which are your favorites?
I actually, honestly love most of my palettes.

Are your favorites the ones you use the most, or not?
Yes, I guess

Have you partially or completely panned a palette? Which one(s)? Would you repurchase? How long did it take?
No. Not even a little bit. The closest I have are two dips in the Chocolate Bar palette.

Have you ever depotted singles or a palette? Do you have a Z Palette or something similar? Do you use it more or less often now?
Yes, I have depotted singles because I never reached for them. Yes, I depotted them into a Z palette. Honestly, not really. I took my Z palette traveling, so I used the colour more than I would have otherwise, but I am far more likely to reach for a palette, which is probably why I have about 6 single eyeshadows.

Have you destashed any palettes? Why or why not?
Yes, I destashed like 8. They were all inferior quality to the other palettes I had, so I just wasn't using them. The exception to that was the BH comestic Galaxy palette, I didn't think the quality was poor (not that I used it long enough to tell), but I found EVERY look I did looked messy and muddy.

Are you a collector or do you prefer a carefully curated collection?
Somewhere in the middle. I prefer only things I love, so I guess it is curated in that way, I need to be super excited to have it, so I am not picking up any of the new, hyped palettes because I just don't want them enough, but on the other hand I have like 20 proper palettes, so I clearly love a lot, and I am a collector in the amount I have!

What attracts you to a new palette? What turns you off? Is there a dealbreaker for you when considering purchasing a new one?
I am attracted to colours I don't have; however, I have a certain love for golds and coppers. I love deep blues and forest greens, but I am less likely to actually use those colours.

What kinds of packaging do you like or dislike in a palette?
I don't like plastic in my palettes, like ones that have the colour names on them, but luckily I do not do youtube or anything where I need to know colour names, so into the trash it goes! I like metal casing that have a magnet because I think they feel safer. I hate Marc Jacob's click-close palettes because they feel flimsy; not to mention one of those closure broke on me. I don't care if they are big and bulky, but I have heard that as an issue others have mentioned.

Are you loyal to any certain brand?
Not really. My favorites of my moment are Bite and Nars, but I wouldn't consider myself loyal. I will use stuff from lots of different lines, but I like a lot of the stuff they put out.

Is there a brand or palette you haven't tried but want to?
I like the look of the Lorac Mega Pro; however, I have a few reservations. First, I find that my Lorac palette is too soft, and I lose eyeshadow and it falls and floats about everywhere; therefore, I don't find it easy to use. Also, it is just not easy to get in Canada. I want to try the KVD Shade and Light palette too, but I think that one is more of a "I am going to ask for it for my birthday, so I haven't got around to it" kind of thing.

Are there any palettes you regret purchasing?
Not particularly. I am not sure if my Marc Jacobs Holiday palette was worth the 100$ or whatever crazy amount it was, but I love using it, so it is hard to "regret" it.

How about any that you missed out on?
I missed out on the peanut butter and Jelly palette, but once again it is because it didn't come to Canada easily, so I am just not going to get it. I suppose if I go down to the states that I might pick it up, but as of now I have missed it. That goes for the Vegas Nay palette too. Honestly, if they do not come up North, then I probably won't buy them.

How many palettes do you have? Which ones?
Like 20. Pretty much all the Nakeds (except Naked Smokey and Naked on the Run), all the Chocolate Bar and the Peach palettes. The Tartelette 1 palette, KVD Holiday from last year. Two Marc Jacobs 202 and Holiday, Vice 2-4, Lorac Pro Palette 1, MUFE artist eyeshadow palette 1, then some smaller ones - Naked Basics 1 &2, Tarlette Tease , etc.

Which ones are you thinking of getting?
There are three that I would like to have Too Faced Neutral eye (even though I have a lot of neutrals), KVD Shade and Light palette, and Bare Minerals Happy Place. Although, in actuality, I am not really planning on buying any of these any time soon. I may pick up the Happy Place during VIB sale. It does usually fall on my birthday, after all.

Have you ever returned a palette?
Yes, a couple: a Anastasia palette and a Sephora palette. I forget their names and everything about them.

Have you repressed a palette? How did it go?
No, I haven't.

If you have X pallete, you don't need Y? Example: if you have LC Venus, you may not need ABH Modern Renaissance because they're dupes (discaimer: I'm not saying they are, I don't have Venus)
I have no idea.

Are any holy grail status?
Not really. I mean, I love the Chocolate Bar original palette, but I could probably do the same looks with another palette.

Would you buy a backup of any of your palettes?
No. I have a lot, so I don't need more of the same.

Do you own any custom palettes (MUG, Mac, Buxom, etc)?
No.

Which do you suggest to other people? For what reasons?
I would suggest checking out the Naked Basic for an easy everyday look. Maybe the Naked 1 or 2, if they wanted to do something more eye-catching.

How do you feel about the brushes included in your palettes?
All the ones I have used, usaully out of the Vices' and Nakeds', are decent. I have no qualms using them.

Have you ever bought a palette off of Makeup Exchange?
No, but I have considered it, but with American shipping and exchange it doesn't turn out to be much of a deal.

Do you have a funny story involving a palette or palettes?
Not really. I really don't have any stories relating to palettes at all.

What would your ideal palette be?
I don't know. Something that blends easily, doesn't kick up product, doesn't have any fall-out, has pigmentation, but is never muddy, and doesn't wear off on my eyelids.

Do you have a brand you don't buy eyeshadow from? Why?
Not as such. I am willing to try different brands, but I am pretty happy with what I know and love, so I am really unlikely to pick up something unheard.

Do you have any LE palettes? Which ones?
Mhm, a few Holidays or other such palettes as listed previously.

Anything else?
Nope :)

Another tag: The White Girl Tag

Hello all,
I hope you don't mind I am doing another tag blog post so soon after the last one, but I think given my reader, this will be fine. So, without further ado: onto the tag!

1. Favourite Starbucks drink?

I have a couple of go-tos. I like to drink certain things in certain seasons. I follow this rule rather explicitly. So for the colder months I enjoy : an chai tea latte (I liked the Oprah one, but a barista told me they didn't do that anymore *sad face*), actually that's about it, in the cold months. In the warm months I like to mix it up with an iced chai tea latte! I also like the Green tea frap, and the Passion tea lemonade and Peach Green tea lemonade, which have the added bonus of being somewhat cheap (by starbucks standards!)

2. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Honestly, anywhere from 15 minutes of "oh crap gotta leave this second" to 45 minutes.

3. How many selfies do you take on a daily basis?
I don't take selfies all that often, but when I do I take a lot. Like 20 at a time. I think it's because I don't update things like instagram, twitter, or facebook all that often, so when I do I like it to be a good picture. Plus, I always forget(?) to take selfies while doing things, so they are usually done at my house when I have time! So I am going to say 1 average given all this data.

4. How many IG followers and pics do you have?
What an apt question. 175 posts (I swear they are not all selfies XD!) and 42 followers. I have 3 that want to follow me, but I haven't decide if they are spam or not.

5. Do you ever say "LOL" or "OMG" out loud?

Not really? I may have said OMG, but I doubt it.

6. Do you wear the same clothing item more than once?
Yes? I mean, if you mean I wear it before throwing it away, of course, but if you mean do I wear it once before washing it mostly yes, unless I was just out quickly.

7. Are you racist?
Uhm. This is both a bit of an offensive question and a stupid one. First, I do not like the insinuation that being a white girl means being racist. Second, who would answer yes to that? (Making it an ineffective question - if you want more than one answer). The term "racist" is a negative term; I would not be all that surprise to hear racist statements starting with "I am not racist but...". The answer I would give to this question is no, but of course it would be.

8. How many tweets do you have?
348
9. Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr?
Instagram. I don't use twitter much, and I don't know much about Tumblr

10. What do you spend most of your time doing?
I don't know, I guess overall it would be sleep? Recently it would be cleaning, reading, and playing overwatch. I hang out a decent amount with my friends, but I doubt it would be "most", so I think I am going to go with sleep because I literally spend like 1/3 of my day asleep (8 hours).

11. Who are your favourite youtubers?
Well, I like a lot of booktubers, and beauty tubers. I have a lot of favorites though. CPG grey, Climb the Stacks, GlitterOCD, Biohazardous beauty - I don't know there are a lot.

12. How often do you do your nails?
I like to do them as often as needed. Meaning, I like to have nail polish that is unchipped. My guess, in an ideal world where this is always accomplished, about twice a week?

13. Are you a shopaholic?
Hm, if you mean it in a pithy way, then yeah I like to shop! If you mean it in a "this is a serious issue and you should talk to someone" I will say that I need to work to be good with  my money (and it is something that ideally I would be better with), but I doubt I am going to shop us out of house and home.

14. How many times have you watched Mean Girls?
Like 5. It's a good movie, but not one of my favorites.

15. Do you own a lot of clothes?
Yes and no. I think I own the right amount of clothes. By this I mean most everything in my closet is worn and loved. When something gets ripped/broken/old I throw it out, so I feel like everything in my closet works for it's space, but I will say there isn't a heck of a lot of space to spare!

16. Do you take pictures of your food before you eat it?
No. I eat my food.

17. Do you wear makeup everyday?
Nope! On days where I think my skin looks good enough that I won't be self-conscious (or I am really lazy and say "fuck it"), then I don't. I don't wear makeup at home, usually, and I don't usually wear makeup if I am going to be out for a short period of time (and/or) not really seeing anybody. Honestly, I wear makeup like 3 days out of 7.

18. What are your average grades in school?
In highschool I was a pretty mediocre student, in university I have improved on that somewhat, I guess.
19. How do you usually style your hair?
I don't. Hair can be so difficult to deal with. I have 7 main styles : down, up in a nifty top knot, up in a less nifty lazy bun, in a pony tail, put into a braid, put into two braids, in two buns. I don't do anything fancy. I wore short hair for a long time because I liked it, but also because it was very easy.

20. Do you always look presentable?
Nah.

The intimidating book tag!

Hello world! I was tagged to do this by my glittery obsession in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnCWkfybuJM , which is great because I think this may be my favorite book tag to watch!

1. A book you've been unable to finish
A book I started, then put back on the shelf because I never seemed to progressed in it, would be The 19th Wife. I am not sure there was anything particularly wrong with this book; I just wasn't feeling it. I didn't want to read it anymore, even though I got over half way.

2. A book you haven't read because you just haven't had the time
Well, that could be a lot of books, but I will go with Count of Monte Cristo. I want to read this one, and I have started it, but I haven't got further than about 20 pages. It is a bit of a monster of a book at over 1000 pages.

3. A book you haven't read because it's a sequel
Ruins, which is a sequel to Fragments that also has not been read, yet I own them both! Actually I own the whole trilogy, which is risky if I do not like the first book!

4. A book you haven't read because it's brand new
The Lie Tree. I got it in the mail yesterday, and I am in the middle of Pride and Prejudice, and I have to read Romeo and Juliette for Wednesday because I am seeing a play of it, so I don't really have reading time for the Lie Tree just yet!

5. A book you haven't read because you read a book by the same author and didn't enjoy it
This is going to be a bit of a cheat answer because I cannot think of anything I own, but I would say Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Rainbow Rowell is a hit or miss author for me --sorry if you love her!-- sometimes I love her books, and sometimes I think the pacing is off for me. Because I find her books hit or miss, I returned the copy of Carry On I purchased, and kind of put it to the back of the list of things I want to read.

6. A book you haven't because you're just not in the mood for it
Stephen King. I got a few of his books to try out his horror genre. I got the Shining, the Night Shift, and Four Past Midnight, but I haven't really felt like trying out horror, so I will have to come back to those books when I do decide to scare myself.

7. A book you haven't read because it's humongous
Gone with the Wind is pretty huge, followed by the non-official sequel Scarlett, which is pretty big in its own right. Overall, that's probably about 2000 pages worth of reading. Even just Gone With the Wind is over 1000. It's a lot!

8. A book you haven't read because because it was a cover buy that turned out to have poor reviews
Glow. It was really cheap at chapters, and it sounded interesting- like Across the Universe, whether or not that was by design I am not sure. I looked it up after and the reviews are okay. To be honest, I think this book's sin is more that it is part of a series, and I didn't know that when I bought it!

9. What is the most intimidating book in your TBR pile?
Uhm, I guess just any of the really big books, or the philosophy books! Like Time and Being by Heidegger, or War and Peace; although, I am planning to read War and Peace very soon, but we will see if that actually amounts to anything!

10. Who do you tag?
Nobody! Yay!

Tome Topple Readathon!

Hello!
I thought I would break up my past makeup posts to add in another post about reading! I am doing the tome topple readathon from June 5 to June 19th! Over the two weeks I am going to try to read about three books. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I want to read some of the larger books on my shelf that I have been ignoring. The three books I would be thrilled to read are:

1) War and Peace
2) Gone with the Wind
3) Game of Thrones

If I am able to read all that, which would be an impressive feat, I want to move on to finishing the Goldfinch. I am about half way through the Goldfinch, but I believe I have about 550 pages left to go. I will be tracking my progress through goodreads, but I will also update this blog when --being optimistic--I have finished a book! I am pretty excited for this readathon because I have tried other readathons but life got in the way, but this readathon I have the next two weeks off, so I am hoping to at least finish a book.

Have a great day!

Spring Empties!

Hello! So I was a bit overdue for an empties. A lot of this stuff is skincare, but I did finish off three makeup items as well!

TOO FACED HANGOVER REPLENISHING FACE PRIMER

I really ended up liking this. I am not entirely sure how well it worked, because I didn't notice a significant difference, but I loved the way it smelled, and how it felt on the skin. It was smooth and it absorbed nicely. My makeup seemed not to last any longer than with other primers I've tried, but I never wear makeup without primer, so it may last longer than makeup would have on skin alone. This also had a nice little pump; however, the pump had no way of feeding the primer into itself, so when no more came out I thought it was done, but there was quite a bit at the bottom that I noticed when I cut into it to check. I guess that can be fixed by, the next time it is running dry, trying to feed the product down. Therefore, a con of this product would be one cannot see how close it is to done, and there is no easy way to make sure it is finished without cutting it open, that I found. Still, it is a minor issue, and one that is easy to overlook. I have repurchased it.

SOFT LIPS IN SHEA BUTTER "BLUEBERRY"
I won this from Kristy's blog contest, so it was nice to have, but I doubt I would pick it up again. It had a very strong smell. The scent on this one was passable, but the scent on the other one I received, the purple, made it rather unpleasant to use. I also didn't feel like it did much for my lips; I felt it stay on top of the lips superficially adding moisture, while not changing the overall feel of my lips. I won't be repurchasing it.

FIRST AID BEAUTY ULTRA REPAIR LIP THERAPY
This is my Holy Grail lip balm. It just works. I described it more in detail in my last empties, but I just love this stuff. It really makes a difference in one's lips. I find it actually locks in moisture and changes my lips at a base level, rather than something I can just put on top. This is my second complete tube, and I will buy another one once I get back from my trip!

NARS RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER IN VANILLA

I love this stuff as well. I find it wears well on my skin and doesn't crease or cake up too much. I like the overall appearance I get when I use this, and I find I like the consistency. A couple other concealers I've tried I found either too dry, like the NYX one, or too wet, like the glamoflauge one. This was a happy medium, and I think it matches my skin pretty well. I have repurchased it.

KAT VON D TATTOO LINER IN TROOPER

I love this eyeliner for its ease of use. I am not particular skilled at eyeliner, but this eyeliner makes it way easier to try to do a winged eye look. I found with this eyeliner I am able to get a nice wing without too much issue. It is likely for someone, with more skills than I have, that this may not add anything to his/her routine, but I love the precision I get with this. I also like that not too much comes out of the brush. I tried the Avon one to practice with, but I found the formula too runny to do anything with, so I gave up until I got this as a sample! I have also heard, from Emily Noel 83 --a beauty youtuber-- that there are a couple drugstore dupes of this that may be worth checking out. I am not sure if the dupes would be available locally, but if so I may repurchase those instead, as for now I have another sample, so I am going to happily use that up!

FRESH SUGAR LIP TREATMENT IN ROSE

This is also a sample size. I really enjoyed it! I found it decently hydrating, although I prefer my First Aid Beauty in that regard, but I love the soft red tint it left on my lips. It was a pretty soft hint of colour that I really loved. I tended to wear this both as a proper lip colour out as well as a lip balm for just staying at home. However, that being said, I am not sure about the $28 price tag, as that seems a lot for a lipbalm/treatment even if I sometimes wear it outside of the house, given the FAB is only 15. I probably will not repurchase it, but (you guessed it) I have another sample that I recently got, so I will be using that up happily!

So that is it for my spring empties! I am not sure when my next one will be, but I am almost finished a powder and a foundation, so maybe soon? Who knows! Hope you have a great day!

My entire perfume collection.

Hello World!
So this is a blog post about my perfume, which I am sure you know because you can read. So let's get into it! I don't have a lot of perfume compared to the other things I have in my collections, mostly lipstick, blush, and eyeshadows being areas of particular interest to me. Although, I mean, I probably have more than a lot of people too, so there is that, I guess. XD Also, I do the whole season-scent thing, so I have a fullsize for each season. :D

FULLSIZE:
This is my summer perfume! It is a popular pick because it smells like flowers, and it is not too overpowering. I think it smells fresh and fun, which is what I want summer to be! I have used a bit of this, but I got it last year at the beginning of summer, so I have only used a bit.

This is my winter/late fall pick! It has a rich smell that I think compliments the wintertime. It smells warm and a little musky to me? I am not sure if that is the correct scent notes, but there you are.I picked this up at Victoria Secret and was pretty impressed with the scent! I actually got this during the Black Friday sale the year before last, so it was super cheap. I have used about a quarter of this up. I used up my Chanel Chance before this, so that is why it's only a 1/4 gone! One issue I will mention, the mechanism that feeds the perfume into the sprayer (that clear pipe thing)is not long enough to reach the bottom. It only goes about 2/3  of the way down, so I don't know how I am going to get the rest out when moving the bottle around doesn't work anymore.

This is my Spring/Early Fall scent. This is pretty recent purchase for me. I think I got it 4 months ago? But I only just started wearing it, because it has just become spring! I think this smells like cucumbers with some tangy friends. I am not very good at describing scents, this has become apparent, but I think it smells like a kappa roll! <3 I love sushi, and I love to smell like it, I guess. Also, I have a bit of the issue with how superfluous top of this bottle: this perfume only goes up to the edge of the frosted glass, the rest of this bottle just here to look good. It may be that the bigger sizes are filled completely up, but in my bottle the stripes are purely for show.

This isn't a seasonal perfume, but rather my everyday perfume going-to-school perfume. Okay, so the story behind this perfume is that it was sent to me kind of randomly. My friend Kristy went to the Roger and Gellet opening, and they did this huge thing and gave out a lot products to those there. For some reason they decided to send some product to the bloggers' friends. I was a friend of a blogger, so this showed up completely unexpected with a bar (circle?) of soap and some hand cream. Okay, the point of that story was to see I never picked out this scent, so based on that it is not my favorite. It is supposed to be fig, but I think it smells like grapefruit, which is not my favorite scent, but it is a nice fresh scent that I would define as clean and non-invasive. So I wear this everyday because  I don't need to smell great in class, just clean, fresh and not over done, and I think this perfume does that for me, plus I think it is 40$, so I am not too worried about finishing it and buying another.

DELUXE SIZE:
This is my only deluxe size, I love it! I tend to use it in the fall and winter time. It is a strong smell, but it still smells a bit sweet. I don't think they sell this on the Coach anymore, at least not that I could find.

ROLLER BALLS:
My newest addition to my collection~! It smells like oranges and musk! I just love this scent. I am planning to take it traveling (as my only perfume), so I will likely up a lot on this trip, since we are going for three weeks, but I just love it! I like this bottle has a proper sprayer, but one doesn't seem to get a lot of liquid for the price, the fullsize is rather expensive, but it may be my next big Sephora purchase, perhaps in November for the VIB sale.

The rollerball of the perfume I mentioned before to try it out. The same things apply to what I said before with an added bonus of being able to throw this in my purse when I wear the other perfume. I mean, I don't, but I could.

I like to try before I commit, what can I say? Same as the perfume in the striped bottle above.

I really like this scent, but I think it is getting kind of old, so I should try to finish it up soon. It is sweet, with an undercurrent of musk, I think. I got this at sephora when they were discounting TokiDoki, so I don't know how easy it is to get this anymore, but I like the scent. The bottle is kinda cute with it's little pink skull thing.

This smell is pretty powerful, and kind of musky. I have no idea what any of these scents are actually made of, and I seem to have a very limited amount of adjectives by which to define these perfumes from. I liked this smell, but not enough to actually get the fullsize of it, so I just have the rollarball.

This is a vanilla scented roller ball. I got it for free in a box, or I guess whatever the cost of the box was. I don't love the smell of vanilla, and that is basically all this is, but in the summer, on the beach, I sometimes think it goes well.

MINI ROLLER BALLS:

I got this roller ball in a pack of three for Black Friday, a good time in this household for perfume, it is rather strong, but in a good way. It smells like fruity, and a bit deep. Let's be honest, I have no idea, but I like it, and it was a great deal. The only downside is there isn't much in the bottle, but it is a good size to test out the product.

The same thing can be said about this one, with regards to the size. I gave away the third roller ball, but these two I retained. This one smells flowery and soapy. Cute bottles for the mini size, which make sense since I like the fullsize bottles of these. I like both these scents, but I don't really like either enough to get the fullsize.

I got this in a 100 point perk from Sephora. I like it, it's like a deep scent. I know a lot of people were talking about this on Youtube a while ago, so I am sure you have heard better descriptions of it than I am able to do. I think this was a great 100 point perk.

So good, in fact, I figured I would spend 100 more points to get the white one too. I think this one smells clean and sweet, and a tad soapy? I am not sure what smells soapy to me in both this and the Nest perfume, but they are likely the same thing in both - probably. While I like the black one better, the white one is pretty good, and they do smell good mixed together, although between the three different variants I would prefer the black alone.

So there we have it, my entire perfume collections! I think we learned a couple of things, I cannot describe perfume at all, and a lot of my perfumes were given to me or somehow came to me, which is kinda of odd. I am someone who likes to use one thing up fully before getting a new one, in the perfume dept because that is clearly not true other makeup places in my life! So, I probably will be working on these for a while, although I may add in the orange one in my collection at the end of the year - only time will tell! XD! Hope you enjoyed :)

My favorite lip colours!

Hello world! So I decided to do a blog on my favorite lip colours. I kinda just pulled them at random, and there happened to be 10. How serendipitous! Onto the lip stuff! This is in no order other than these are my favorite from my rather disconcertingly large lip collection!

1) Relvon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart.

I have used a lot of this lip product. It seems to be one that I love to wear in the warmer months, especially in spring time. It gives a nice pink colours with some shine. It is a bit of a fun colour by the fact it is noticeably pink, but I find that it is just a nice pink colour that is easy to wear. I think it makes a fun playful choice!

 2) Relvon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey.

This is just the simplest lip colour to throw on. It is a "my lips but better" colour on me, for sure! I put this on when I want to wear something to give a bit of colour, but I do not know what to choose. I think it is affordable, not only because it is from the drugstore, but the fact the user gets SO MUCH lip colour. I have used this so often and it still has probably half of the tube left in it!

 3) Bareminerals Plum Pop.

This is just a pretty sheer red that hints on purple. I love it. I love how sheer, yet glossy this colour comes out. This is a travel size, but I bought the full size afterwards. One, because the travel size has very little in it, but second, because it is an easy colour to wear. I just love sheer lipsticks.

4) Hourglass- Icon

Now something completely different. A bold red lip. I love how well this lip colour stays on. I think that the price is a bit excessive for the size, but the formula makes it up for me. I find that it doesn't really move on me, and so I don't have to worry about it. However, it doesn't make me lips feel really dehydrated or chalky. I think it looks nice, and I guess the tiny size makes it easier to put into my purse.

5) Bareminerals Moxie- Speak your mind.

This is another one that is just easy to wear. It is a medium pink colour that seems to go with anything. I like it because it really pulls a look together for me. It is just a nice colour to wear, and the formula is decent. I don't find myself reapplying often, but once and a while I do need to. This was a travel size, but I did buy the fullsize afterwards.

 6) Nars Angelika

Now, I am going to preface this by saying I love lipgloss. I think its easy and fun and gives a bit of colour. However, I hate stickiness. I think Nars' lipglosses do a good job of being not being noticeably sticky. To me the texture comes off as more of a slick feeling. Others might not like that either, but I do not mind it. It is once again an easy pink to wear. I love wearing this in the spring and summer. I use it so much, yet it seems to have a lot left, so that makes me happy!

 7) YSL 5 Fuchsia in Excess.

Look another sheer lipstick. I love this lipstick. It has a lot of colour, but in a sheered out way that makes me love it. It has the crazy bright pinky-red, but its sheered out so that it comes across as a pretty stain. I just love the way this looks. It is definitely there, and you can see the colour, yet it still has a reserved quality that I like.

 8) Nars Gipsy

I just love this colour. It is a sheer red. Apparently I like sheer colours, okay? I love that this red is sheered out enough that I feel like I can wear it anywhere. Not that I cannot wear a bold red anywhere. Its just if I wear a bold red I like to be dressed up. If I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt I tend to downplay my makeup to suit the "look". However, this red transcends the look spectrum. If I feel super casual I will still throw on this lipstick for a nice red that's there, but understated.

 9) Mac - Cream Cup

Another easy to wear pink. I love the soft colour, and I think the formula is good as well. I have not had this one long, but I can see it being a very "workhorse" lipstick for me. Just something to wear when I am not sure what to wear, but I want to pull a look together. Also, these colours look good no matter what I have decided to do on the lids or the face.

 10) Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Fig.

Although I only have one of these colours on my top ten, these type of purple-pinks are some of my favorite colours. When I decide I want a fun lip I grab from my purple-pink pile. I love this colour, and the forumula is pretty decent. Once again I do not find myself over reapplying, but I get about 4 hours of wear; less if I eat. I also think this colour can work for any type of season/weather, if you are into keeping track of that kinda thing, I think the "fun" purple colour works for Spring/Summer, and the darker hue works for Fall/Winter.

Well those are all my favorites. I definitely seem to have  a "type". I love my neutral lipsticks, my sheer lipsticks, and my reds. That is not to say I do not have other lipsticks. I have red-oranges that I wear sometimes (Nars Lana is my go-to), and I have dark lip colours that I break out once in a while (Nars Charlotte), even some "odd" colours (Mac's Film Noir). However, for the everyday what-should-I-wear, I tend to stick to these colours because I just love the way they look, feel, and last on me!
